Message to Young Women
One of the biggest issues concerning ladies/young women is modesty. At home or at the pool. At fancy places or at the mall. How you dress can be a stumbling block for others. The bible says, "But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea." (Matthew 18:6) You never know but maybe some little boy is drawn to certain areas because of your tight jeans or short shorts. That is causing him to sin. Maybe a man walks by and notices that the top of your body is slightly uncovered. That is causing him to sin. In conclusion, people can sometimes tell what you value by how you dress. Dress modestly. Wear an undershirt or skirt. Whatever completely covers up the parts of the body that are not intended to be seen by others is good. WWJD? Show the world that you are a Christian and value the ways of God. The Duggar Family has been a role model for thousands of individuals across America. Wear appropriate bathing suites. Don't draw attention to things that attention should not be drawn to.
Another stumbling block for young ladies involves music, TV shows, and actors. Does what you listen to or watch reflect Christ? If Jesus came back while you were watching that show, would he approve? What does your conversation revolve around? Honor God in EVERYTHING. Make sure to save your heart for the man that God has for you. Don't "fall in love" with actors, singers, etc. prematurely or if they don't openly express that they are sold out for Christ. If you think that someone is cute, don't give your heart away. If an unbeliever walked into your bedroom, would she know that you are a Christian? Do you have a poster of a good looking teen actor or a prayer to Jesus on your wall? What music do you have on your iPod? God put us on earth to glorify Him. Are YOU doing that?
